Charity support

In 2017, Cathedral Green Financial Planning launched their first Nominated Charity with James Hopkins Trust with the hope of raising awareness and funds for this very special charity.

As part of this venture, Cathedral Green Financial Planning has committed to a funding agreement linked to the turnover of Cathedral Green Financial Planning, ensuring that James Hopkins Trust will benefit from the day-to-day success of our business.

James Hopkins Trust was established in 1989 to provide care for babies and children up to the age of 5 who have a life limiting or life threatening condition while also supporting their families. James Hopkins Trust currently support over 90 children in Gloucestershire and since 1989 James Hopkins Trust has helped well over 500 children and their families in every corner of Gloucestershire. The free nursing respite provided can be night or day in the family home or at their purpose built multi-sensory respite centre and gardens called Kites Corner.

"We hope our venture with James Hopkins Trust will make a positive impact in support of their important work supporting young children and their families and tackling issues our team care about." David P. Johnson, Principal, Cathedral Green Financial Planning.

"The James Hopkins Trust are delighted to have been chosen as Cathedral Green Financial Planning.’s charity partner; Sarah James – Head of Fundraising said “It is an excellent opportunity to increase our profile in the county whilst raising funds”. The James Hopkins Trust provides free nursing respite care for severely disabled, life limited and life threatened young children living in Gloucestershire. The causes of the disabilities are numerous, but include renal failure, cardiac and metabolic problems, respiratory conditions, leukaemia, cancer, cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy & neurological conditions. We are the only registered charity in the whole of Gloucestershire to provide this level of care night and day, in either the family home or at Kites Corner, our multi-sensory respite centre and gardens. Sarah James also added “We are really looking forward to working with David and Kay, they have been full of energy and absolutely committed to making a difference. Without the generous support of our Gloucestershire community and businesses like Cathedral Green Financial Planning we would really struggle to support our families”. Sarah James, Head of Fundraising, James Hopkins Trust.
